As ABC and CBS provide world and national news to radio stations across the nation, Learfield News/Ag provides regional and statewide news of interest to affiliated radio stations across the Midwest. We give them great news and agricultural programming and in exchange they give us commercial airtime on their stations that air 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, during radio’s primetime. This allows our affiliated stations to serve their loyal listeners and advertisers in ways that would be difficult or even impossible on their own. Because we barter for the commercial time instead of paying cash, we can help marketers reach the state easily and affordably versus the premium pricing of other options.
