For many working professionals, social media has been adapted into their everyday lives. I went around Learfield to see which social networking sites a few of my colleagues spend a majority of their time on and why. Here’s what they had to say.

What are you thoughts? Where do you find a majority of your social time online?

f8

During lunch this afternoon I watched a little bit of f8 and I must say I’m pretty excited about the new changes facebook is in the process of launching. It’ll be different and probably challenging at first to adapt, but hopefully it’ll achieve its purpose to better connect and build relationships with our friends and family.

Finally, Facebook has integrated video calling— I’ve been waiting for this for awhile and today I was able to experience it with a friend!

Somethings I liked:

1. Quality of Video
I know internet speed has a lot to do with the quality, but overall I had no issues. Conversation happened in real time and there wasn’t any delay.

2. Multi-task
You aren’t limited to Facebook.com — Video conversation may continue while surfing other sites on the web.

3. Text Chat
If you have a video call, you can send a typed message as well.

If you are yet to test it out, I suggest you should. Share your thoughts, let me know what video chat platform you like the best!
